Vaporesso Gen Air 40 Quality and design
The VAPORESSO GEN AIR 40 is a small AIO/pod that looks like a box. It's bigger than essential pods like the Caliburn but smaller than a single battery kit. It's a good size for the amount of power it has. It only weighs 67 grams. At the same time, it feels excellent and not at all cheap when you hold it. Even though it's light, you can tell it's made well.
There are seven color options for the device. The sakura pink and aurora green colors fade, but the other four are just one colour and not as bright. The front and pods are the only parts of the device that are entirely black. The rest of the device is colored, so each version stands out. But unlike many devices on the market, this one doesn't use a panel to show the difference between colours.
The front of the device has two buttons a fire button at the top and a power button at the bottom. Four LED lights between the two switches show the battery and power levels. Overall, it's a pretty simple and standard pod system, but it's made well, is very light, and works well.
Cartridge of Vaporesso Gen Air 40
The cartridge of vaporesso Gen Air 40 has a filling port on the side. To add more vape juice, you must take the pod out and fill it. The cartridge works with the GTX system. The kit comes with 0.4 and 0.8 coils. You can also choose from 0.3, 0.6, and 1.2 coils.
Airflow Adjustment
With the 0.4-ohm coil, four LEDs add up to 32 watts, which is perfect for that coil. The 0.8-ohm coil can be fired at anywhere from 11 to 16 watts.
The airflow can be changed from a loose MTL vape to a tight DL vape on the front of the pod. The pod is easy to put in and take out of the body. Just grab the pod and pull it out to get rid of it. No tricks were needed. To put it back, pop it in, and the magnets will grab it. Just as simple and easy as it should be. When you take the pod off, you'll see a red rubber plug you need to take out to get to the fill hole.
Even though the pod is almost entirely open, it is hard to see how much juice is left because it is so dark. When the battery is practically dead, you have to tilt the device to see if there is still power on the bottom.
Battery and charging of vaporesso Gen Air 40
The vaporesso Gen Air 40 mod has a built-in 1800mAh battery that can be charged quickly at 2.5A through the USB Type C port.
The device can put out between 5 and 40W, but how much it puts out will depend on how resistant the pod or coil is.
Depending on how you vape, the battery life of this device will be different. However, when you will use the 0.8-ohm coil on low, it will last a long time. It has a built-in 1800 mAh battery, and the charge rate is 2A. The Type-C port is at the bottom of the mod, so it has to lie down while charging. Not a big deal, but I like charging devices that can stand up.
- One LED: 0-25%
- Two LEDs: 25-50%
- Three LEDs: 50–75%
- Four LEDs: 75-100%
Performance of Vaporesso Gen Air 40
Vaporesso Gen Air 40 kit uses coils from the solid GTX line, which I've used a lot. But it is important r that not all GTX coils work with every device, and the same is true for the GEN AIR 40.
Five GTX coils work with the GEN AIR 40 right now. There are two mesh coils in the package. One is 0.8 ohm and rated for 12–16 watts, and the other is 0.4 ohm and rated for 26–32 watts. The other three can be bought on their own.
My experience with vaporesso Gen Air 40
I started my testing with a 0.8-ohm coil and 50/50 20-24 mg nicotine salt juices. I liked it best on low power (one LED), and the flavour was great for a pod system and on par with the best pods on the market. I used about 30 mL of juice on it, which is excellent for coil life. I usually look for 10-15 mL in coils like these.
Then I switched to the 0.4-ohm coil, which I liked better on high (four LEDs.) I used 70/30 3mg juices with this coil, and the 30-watt vape was good. But, as I've said in other reviews, I'd rather have at least 40 watts for direct-lung vaping and less than 20 watts for mouth-to-lung vaping. The 20–40-watt range is a no-man land for me. Still, if you like that wattage, it's a good vape, and the coil life was exemplary at about 50 mL. Overall, the coils are suitable, but I like it better as an MTL device with lower-wattage coils and higher nicotine e-juices.

Conclusion
It's small but well-made, easy to use and adjustable, has a long battery life and decent coil life, charges quickly, and has excellent taste.
VAPORESSO did great work with this device as a whole. You'll be happy with it if you want a small, light, low-wattage device that should last most people all day if they use it for MTL vaping. But if you like DL at around 30 watts, it's a good vape.
