Vapor’s Tongue

Now, the setup is a huge part of this, but it’s not just that. You may start to notice you’ve got vaper’s tongue, which is when you start to feel a sort of “flavor fatigue.” You’re tired of the flavor, and you feel like it’s losing the punch after so long, and you may struggle to enjoy other juices too. The simple solution is to change the flavor. Sometimes drinking water, using a lemon, or even smelling fresh coffee beans can help to reset this and fight it.

Watch your vape coils

The coil that you do use plays a big part in the flavor levels that you get from this. of course, you can base this on personal preference, but here are a few rules and things to keep in mind.

Top coil ones suffer the effect of gravity, which is why some people try to opt for the ones near the bottom. That’s because if it gets held the wrong way, you’re going to probably get no flavor.

The bottom-coil coils that you can get from other retailers do have some improvements, since the gravity does the work for you, and the coil is by the bottom, so the wick isn’t sucking it up.

Then the next thing to consider are the sub ohm tanks, and these support the coils themselves with an ohm in resistance.

For example, check out the Jac S22 tank, which uses coils that have lower resistance, and they normally boost the production of the vapor and the flavor, and in comparison, tend to have a better flavor as well.

However, one place to look at is the atomizer head. If this has a larger bore coil, there will be more airflow, and therefore less flavor, so often, many decide to go with the sub-ohm tank with a coil that’s a smaller in bore, and often, they support the mouth-to-lung hits better. Smaller ones such as Nautilus, often aren’t sub-ohm, but they are better with flavor.

Rebuildable atomizers are the best though, because they give you that ability to control, something that lots of people want, and if you want to make the atomizer head a bit different, you’ll be able to figure out what works for you.

Reduce the airflow

Airflow is a huge part of this. if you have airflow that’s too much, it will create great clouds, but if it’s too little you get some great flavor. If you tweak this, you can use the airflow to make the vape taste even better.

But, it comes at a price. If the airflow is really screwed up, you’ll end up making it an unpleasant experience, because you may increase the throat hit. For some, that’s encouraged, but for other people, this may not be what you want. So, remember, the airflow can be changed, but with a small price.

Tweak the wattage and temperature

This is the easiest way to get the most out of this. The juices are actually affected by the settings of your vape. This is because some flavors have to vaporize at different temperatures, and the setting, along with the resistance of the coil, determines the temperature of the coil. A device that’s got variable voltage on it is ideal, and the same with temperature control so that you can have the best experience possible.

The ideal way for you to figure out what’s right for you, is to make sure you start at the wattage that works the best, and from there go up. When you find that perfect flavor, you’ve got it. It might take a bit of time, and if you know about the way the flavor vaporizes, you’ll do better with it.

The temperature is another crucial part of this. Temperature control allows you to limit the temperature of the coil, and it works for chasing those flavors. If you find the right setting, it’ll give you a vape that is flavorful, and perfect for a flavor chaser.

Look at your Wicking Material

The material for the wick is a big part of the flavor. Some are standard, but they get rid of the flavor that hat you get from the liquid. It’s why cotton is the main choice for vapors.

Organic cottons and Japanese organic cotton is the best, because it soaks it up, and to combine it with a good clearomizer means that you’re going to get the most out of this.

Now, this isn’t for everyone, for some like cellucotton or even “cotton bacon.” The ceramic wicks are dent too, and since they’re resistant to heat, they last longer, and they create great flavors.

You should explore what you can use with this, but generally, the high quality cotton ones, or the ceramic wick give you the best flavor.

You should also look at the atomizer wire. For many who are flavor chasers, they still choose Kanthal since it gives a natural, clean flavor.

You also should think about the temperature control elements. This gives new coil types, including nickel, titanium, and stainless steel. Arguably, nickel reacts just as well when it comes to flavor, but the stainless steel along with the titanium do make it taste slightly metallic. Also, for certain vapes, you can only use certain types of wires, so watch for that.

The differences in these materials isn’t a ton, but if you notice that the juice isn’t shining as much when you move to a device that has a temperature control element, just know it’s the coil material that’s the culprit.

Put the coils Under the Airflow

Along with the amount of airflow, the position of this is an important aspect. Airflow holes on these atomizers tend to only be on a single side, and while it works, it does limit flavor. Putting it under the coils themselves increases the airflow, and the flavor. Sub ohm tanks use this, and that’s why lots of people choose this.

Air flow position is very important, because if it’s on the wrong side, it can actually limit it. putting some holes underneath the coils as well improves the airflow without sacrificing the flavor, and makes it better every time.

Narrower tip

The drip tip influences what you’re going to get in terms of flavor, and it’s something that has become a part of the trends. That’s because lots of times the atomizers along with the tanks start to create a bore that’s larger, along with wide drip tips, and this makes a vape that’s much airier, and it creates good clouds, but sacrifices flavor.

Like with the airflow settings, it isn’t ideal when it comes to flavor. For atomizers with a bore that’s wider, you should try to replace it with something narrower, or even a drip one, since that will directly hit it. Thinner is better in terms of this, and you can change the way it tastes with just this little addition.

Watch your Juice

You should always make sure that your liquid is properly stored, since the flavorings do degrade when they’re stored wrongly.

Keep them away from any heat and light sources, and keep them out of the open air, and make sure they’re sealed correctly.

Now, some do benefit from something called “steeping.” This is basically leaving the juice for a little bit, whether it be open in the air, or closed off. Sometimes, you can do this for a while, shaking occasionally, and it can change the way the flavor is.

There are some approaches you can try, but usually, leaving them in a location that’s cool and dark, occasionally shaking the contents around to make sure they don’t solidify, can help increase the flavor. Another way is to open up the cape and allow it to “breathe.” You don’t need to do this for every single juice however, and the results do vary. But, it can increase the flavor.

Choose more PG

If you’re worried about the flavor, you should look at the PG in it. PG is much thicker, versus VG being thinner in terms of the content.

If it’s thicker, it typically holds the flavor more, while the VG is what you want if you’re a cloud chaser. Ideally, if the flavor isn’t enough, take that PG and crank up the tip.

Usually, if you go for a 50/50 ratio, it can be ideal. It’s got good flavor, and it’s got a great production of vapor to make clouds, and a better throat hit. But, you can always go about 10-20 PG higher if you want to have a stronger flavor and can handle the throat hit.

Keep your stuff clean!

Wicks need to be cleaned, and it’s super important that you take care of this. you’ll want to keep this all cleaned up if you want to be successful with vaping.

If the coils and wicks are clean, it gives a better flavor. If you do switch to a new coil after a while, it’ll allow you to have a better flavor, and it’s important to remember that juice does taste much better when the tanks, wicks, and coils are fresh.

You don’t need to change it every time the coil is rinsed, or the flavor is changed, but you’ll notice after a bit the flavor starts to go kind of bad. Sometimes rinsing the atomizer helps as well.

There are important elements to know about cleaning a tank, but it’s simple to do. First, you disassemble it, put it in hot water, then let these dry. Leave the heads until they’re totally dry, and then you can use it again. You should have another head there to help with drying.

If the atomizer is rebuildable, you’ll be able to change this out quite easily, and doing so with every single flavor that you have makes it feasible. If you get rid of the wick that you’ve previously used, fire the coil without the wick in to dry this, and then let it cool before you put in another, it can also increase the flavor.

Try to improve the flavor!

Flavor chasing can be hard, since there is so much for you to learn, but you’ll be able to enjoy these flavors. There are lots of debates and approaches, and learning to control different variables can give you some great experience.

This is a good guideline to begin, but you’ll have to play with the factors yourself, and you can figure out how to get the perfect cloud ratio, while still being a flavor chaser as well.
