Vaporesso Luxe X Design & Style
The Vaporesso Luxe X is a device that unique and looks good. Vaporesso went for a futuristic look, with a transparent shell that shows off the Axon board inside.
The Luxe X is more significant than essential pods like the Caliburn A2 or the LUXE QS. But it is smaller than some of the big AIOs on the market. It looks and feels like the GEN AIR 40. It also doesn't weigh much, but it feels solid in your hand and isn't cheap. This is mainly because it has a transparent "crystal-like" shell that allows you to see through it.
The Vaporesso Luxe X has one button, both the power button and the on/off switch. You can't breathe fire. On the front bottom are three blinking LEDs showing how full the battery is. Overall, it's a simple stick-style pod system built well and looks great.
The bottom of the transparent shell is tinted black, but it gets lighter as you move up the device. This is where three LED lights show the battery status when the device is in use or charging.
On one side of the device, you can see safety symbols and the battery capacity (1500mAh). On the other side, you can see a Vaporesso logo.
Airflow adjustment
The Vaporesso Luxe X has a way to change the airflow, but it's not a slider. Instead, you can turn the pod 180°, allowing you to adjust the draw to either looser or tighter. It's an easy way to change the way the air flows.
There is a small airflow symbol on the pod's side that can be seen even when the pod is in. This shows which side the hole for airflow is on. When looking at the front of the device, the airflow symbol on the right is for tighter airflow. While the airflow symbol on the pod on the left is for looser airflow.
Depending on which way you hold the 0.8 pods, you can get an MTL draw or a slightly looser MTL draw. Depending on how the 0.4 pods are turned, it can be used for a restricted direct lung draw or a less restricted but still RDL. In the "Performance" section of this review, I'll talk in more detail about the airflow.
Vaporesso Luxe X Charging and Battery
It has a 1500mAh battery, which is definitely on the higher end of pod vape battery capacities. Because each pod vapes at a very different wattage. So, the battery life will depend significantly on which pod you use, but here's what you can expect.
With the 0.4 pod that fires at 32W, you should be able to vape a little more than one pod of e-juice (5–6 ml) on a single charge. Your battery will last much longer with the 0.8 pod that fires at 16W.
3 LEDs light up every time you take a drag. These LEDs show how full your battery is:
- 3 lights: 60-100% batter
- 2 LEDs: 30-60% battery life
- 1 LED: Less than 30% of battery left
Type-C charging is used to power up the Luxe X, and the Type-C port is on the bottom of the device. When the battery is completely dead, it takes 55 minutes to fully charge, which is suitable for the battery capacity. While they are charging, the LEDs will breathe, starting with one, then two, and finally three. When fully charged, the 3 LEDs will be solid and lit up. It has pass-through charging, so you can also use it to vape while it's charging.
Vaporesso Luxe X Pods
The LUXE X kit has two different pods, but they can hold 5ml of juice (2ml TPD areas). The pod coils use Vaporesso latest heating technology, called COREX. It gives 50% more flavour and 50% more life.
The resistance of the LUXE X pods is as follows:
- 4 is made for limited DL vaping.
- 8Ω – designed for MTL vaping
On the base is the fill port for the pods. It's a giant rubber plug that is easy to open and close. The fill hole is also nice and big, so any size of bottle tip should fit. The mouthpiece on the pods looks like a duck bill, but it's thin and flat, so it's comfortable to use.
How to fill up the Luxe X Pod
Here's how to put e-liquid into the pod:
- Take the pod out of the gadget.
- Use the small flap to lift the rubber plug.
- Fill with your e-liquid.
- Put the rubber plug back on.
- Leave the pod alone for 5 minutes to allow the e-liquid to soak the coil.
Vaporesso Luxe X Performance
Vaporesso says that the Luxe X can be used for MTL and DTL vaping, which is a big claim. In vape life, there are not a lot of devices that can do both. Most of the time, these devices are good at only one or the other, and it's rare to find one that can do both. Surprisingly, though, the Luxe X can be used for both MTL and DTL vaping, and it does both of them just as well.
The flavour is another great thing about the Luxe X. The way these coils accurately produce flavour and make a vapour that isn't too "wet" and saturated. But it is still tasty to vape on and is excellent.
The last words
The LUXE X is an all-in-one (AIO) pod kit with a 40-watt rating. Luxe X can be used for both MTL and DL vaping. It has a simple interface and a 1500 mAh battery that is already built in. It comes in seven colours, most of which fade from black to transparent, with a metal ring of the colour making up about one-third of the body.
VAPORESSO did great work with this device as a whole. You won't be disappointed if you want a low-wattage MTL device that is small, light, and has long battery life. With the tremendous 0.8-ohm coil, it shines at low wattages.
VAPORESSO, of course, needs no introduction. They are responsible for some of the most popular vaping devices around like the XROS Nano, Target 200, Zero 2, and more.
